Supplier Guidelines

Tejas Vapin Supplier Guidelines

TejasVapin.com is a site for Texas Residents.  Therefore we will not list or offer advertising to national or international suppliers.  Also, for now, wholesalers are off our list.

1.  You, the supplier, must be Texas owned and operated to have an affiliation as a company with this site and or the club, Tejas Vapin.

2.  Zero spam and b2b bashing tolerance.  While suppliers are permitted to post comments on any article or post the same as other members with three exceptions.

• You cannot freely promote your product, service or brand anywhere on the site other than your own page (if you have one).
• You cannot post any comment on another supplier’s page.
• You may not use Tejas Vapin as a customer resolution center.

Breaking any of these rules could result in an immediate account suspension or termination.  A warning may be issued but it really depends on severity of the offense.  Our supplier rules are simple and to the point.  Follow them and use common sense.

3.  Ratings system:  Tejas Vapin will impose a ratings system where customers can rate their local suppliers from 1 to 5 stars.  This will only be included for suppliers who have chosen to maintain a local page.  Customers can leave their testimonials in the comments sections under the suplier’s page.  While negative testimonials and reviews will be allowed for fairness, full discussions will not.

• Members can only leave one testimonial or review once per supplier.
• Suppliers are welcome to respond to negative comments only once to offer a view from the other side.
• Suppliers should not reply to positive reviews.  Doing so takes away from readily seeing all the positive reviews from your customers – its good business practice.

The system is designed to benefit customers and businesses equally.  Provide excellent customer service and you, the supplier, will find this a very rewarding system.  You will also have the opportunity to quote positive testimonials from Tejas Vapin on your own site.

In the event of a negative review or testimonial the customer has the opportunity to ask an admin to reverse or remove their rating and review.  In such cases the supplier’s response (if any) will also be removed.

4.  Advertising:  We offer several types of advertising on TejasVapin.com to support our community.

• Supplier local page – A great way to let Texans know your current products, offers, about you, etc.  It’s your page, our call, you do the editing.  A small add on the sidebar is also included within the Sponsored Supplier sidebar  block.
• T-shirt Sponsorship – Get your brand on an official Tejas Vapin t-shirt.
• Contests – Supplier sponsored giveaways.
• Inline page adverts – Text ads below post/article content.
• Header (top of page) adverts – Get your ad noticed on the top of every page.
• Sidebar adverts – A larger rotated (shared) ad space will be available.
• Event and meet up sponsorships – Host or co-host a local or statewide event.
• Supplier Links – Free, no-follow link on our links page.

I don’t want anyone to get the wrong idea.  This site will not be splattered with ads to the point where it looks like those annoying ad mailers we all still get in our snail boxes.  There won’t be any flashing, blinking, drive-you-crazy ads either.  Other than the supplier’s local pages supporting sidebar block there will only be three other areas where adverts are shone.   However we must offer inexpensive advertising to help our local businesses which will in turn benefit our community through special incentives, contests, giveaways, sponsorships, etc.  It’s either that or no advertisements and choose a paid membership which I’m not fond of.

Suppliers contact us for details and advertising rates.  All other questions, concerns and suggestions may be posted below.  We want to do our best to make sure we engage in fair practice for all and therefore appreciate any input you may have on our guidelines.
